The Organizing Committee of the 54th AICOG Hyderabad expresses its sincere thanks to all who contributed to making the Event a grand success. We were immensely honored to have amidst us at the Inauguration Shri. Ghulam Nabi Azad our Honorable Minister for Health & Family welfare, Govt of India who kindly consented to be the chief guest. We sincerely thank his Excellency Shri Dr. D.Y. Patil, Governor of Tripura for being with us , in absentia Shri. N. Kiran kumar Reddy our honorable young & dynamic Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Shri Dr. D.L. Ravindra Reddy honorable minister of health, in absentia Shri. Asaddudin Owaisi Honorable Member of Parliament, Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency and Chairman of Deccan College of Medical Sciences and Managing Director Shri. Akbaruddin Owaisi.
Our thanks go out to the Participants, Delegates, Sponsors, Conference Managers (CIM) and Vendors. The Congress was an organizational challenge that required a large team of Congress Secretariat led by Dr S. Shantha Kumari, FOGSI and Conference Manager's Staff to work diligently and efficiently round-the-clock to achieve this success.
More than 9000 Doctors attended the Congress which was held from 5th till the 9th of January 2011. During the Congress scientific deliberations/presentations, Workshops, Free Paper, Posters sessions, cultural and local-sightseeing events were featured and prizes were given out to best performers.
The Congress broke several records of largest number of registrations/participants/visitors, the largest number of workshops including Live Workshops.
The Organizing Committee had a very large stake of organizing this Congress, had chosen their Congress must be "different" and "better than any other" and are therefore immensely pleased that with the success of this Congress they were able to make a significant contribution towards the dissemination of skills, knowledge and information to the profession of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Our whole hearted gratitude specially to Pharma Industry for their immense support. A special mention is made of the generosity of the other Sponsors as well.
